Capability

Drawing on decades of specialized expertise and proprietary technologies, we engineer unique formulations with proven market differentiation. Our portfolio of 200,000+ developed formulas spans skincare, cosmetics, haircare, and body care categories, supported by patented innovations that address evolving consumer demands through scientifically validated solutions.

As of February 2026, we have obtained 72 patents, with an additional 32 currently pending.

Functional Ingredient
Development

At PICASO, we are also dedicated to developing our own original ingredients. Our attractive product proposals feature unique materials such as collagen ferment filtrate made with premium domestic marine collagen, fast-acting galactomyces ferment filtrate, patented Uminoglycan (mucopolysaccharide), and Miang extract, which we presented at the IFSCC Congress 2020.

Approval for Quasi-drugs

In addition to developing formulations based on customer requests, we are constantly at the forefront of formulation innovation, holding over 100 in-house quasi-drug formulas. While obtaining approval for a quasi-drug typically takes six months to a year from application to approval, our existing in-house formulations enable faster, more efficient commercialization.

Safety Evaluation

We conduct safety evaluation tests to ensure that the products we propose can be used safely and securely by our customers.
For in vivo testing, we primarily perform actual-use tests, along with patch tests, stinging tests, and RIPTs (Repeated Insult Patch Tests) as needed.
For in vitro testing, we carry out animal-free skin irritation and phototoxicity tests, as well as cell-based eye irritation tests.

Efficacy Evaluation

We conduct a wide range of efficacy evaluation tests, from cellular-level studies to human trials, to provide ingredients and products backed by scientific evidence.
Our evaluations include brightening effect tests, dark spot and pore assessments, skin texture and moisture retention measurements, and SPF assessments using a UV transmittance analyzer — enabling us to deliver high value-added products.

Global Support

We have production and R&D bases in Shanghai, China, and Bangkok, Thailand. Working closely with our local teams, we develop global formulations that comply with China’s NMPA regulations, halal requirements, and the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive.
Through close coordination between specialized sections at each site, we swiftly identify the diverse needs of each market and respond with flexibility.
